Poker Stars VIP Program
PokerStars New Vip Program
January 15th, 2008
Poker Stars has created a brand new VIP program. This is a multi tiered system that rewards everyone, no matter how much you play. The main theme of the program is an increased frequent player points(FPP's)/hand ratio. The first tier is the Bronze Star level. Everyone starts off at this level and earns the standard amount of points/hand ratio. The next level is the Silver Stars level. To reach Silver Stars status you only need to earn 1,500 FPP's for the month. If you earn this many points all your FPP earning ratio will increase by 50%.
The next step is the Gold Stars level. It only requires you to earn 4,000 FPP's and if you do your ratio will increase to 100%, that's twice as many FPP's per hand then a player at the Bronze Star level. As you can tell once you reach this level you will be earning points at an amazing rate, but it doesn't stop there. The Platinum Star level comes next. You must earn 10,000 FPP's to reach this level but the rewards are well worth it. You will earn points 1.5 times faster then Bronze Level players. You can also use your FPP's to clear your first deposit bonus. Players the use the PokerStars marketing code PAWSUB90 will receive a 100% match with a max of $50. You must earn 10 times the amount of the bonus in FPP's.
Poker Stars will also reward you if your a long time player. If you earn 100,000 in one calendar year you will achieve Super Nova status. Once again they will increase your points/hand ratio to 2.5 faster then the standard level. The highest status possible is the Super Elite level. This requires a huge 1,000,000 FPP's. If you reach this level you will earn points 4 times faster then the regular player.
What Can You Do With Poker Stars Frequent Player Points?
You can use FPP's in number of ways. There are always the free rolls that cost a small amount of points to enter. You can also receive special cash bonuses for your points. The most exciting way to spend your points is the Poker Stars store. They have it all, everything from gift cards to Amazon.com to big screen TV's. You can also buy tickets to tournaments such as the main event at the World Series of Poker, for a cost of 700,000 points. You can also use them to buy into smaller tournaments hosted on Poker Stars like the $215 buy-in Sunday Millions tournament for only 13,500 points.
They have a wide range of electronics, clothing and poker supplies to choose from. The most expensive item is a Porsche Cayman S for 3,000,000 points. You can even request anything you want and Poker Stars will see about getting it for you. Most players just trade their in for cash though. 100,000 FPP's is worth $1,500.
